Refilwe Matlopela is a registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner with extensive experience in environmental compliance, impact assessment, and environmental authorisation processes across municipal, infrastructure, and private sector developments in South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Geography and Environmental Science, a Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management, and is currently completing her MSc in Environmental Management. Her strong academic foundation, combined with over seven years of professional experience, positions her as a senior practitioner in environmental regulatory management and project delivery.
Refilwe has led and managed numerous Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Basic Assessments (BAs), Section 24G applications, environmental compliance audits, and public participation processes. Her project portfolio includes large-scale township establishments, roads, housing developments, institutional facilities, and municipal infrastructure across multiple provinces.
At Rayten Engineering Solutions, Refilwe oversees environmental compliance and assessment functions and leads projects from inception through to authorisation and ongoing compliance monitoring.
